Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there - the ones holding it all together, running on caffeine and chaos, remembering everyone’s schedules, finding the missing shoes, kissing boo boos, and somehow still making the world feel safe for their babies.

Whether you’re raising tiny humans, grown babies, bonus babies, or simply showing up as a mother figure in someone’s life - today is for you. I hope you feel appreciated, loved, and maybe even get to sit down for more than 3 consecutive minutes today.

And gentlemen… if you’re still scrambling for a last minute Mother’s Day gift idea, let me help you out:
Flowers die.
Candles burn out.
But paying for someone to come help reset the house? That right there is romance. 😂

Book a cleaning, declutter, laundry catch-up, organizing session, or just give the mom in your life a chance to breathe for a minute. Trust me - she does not want another kitchen appliance she has to clean herself.

WOW! We are so thankful for our community partners. A special thank you to Just a Mom Helping Moms for donating pull-ups and diapers to the ZUMC Baby Pantry.

Today’s post looks a little different than my usual “before & after”… but it is just as meaningful.

We loaded up over 40 packs of pull-ups and 4 bins of school supplies and donated them right back into our community. The school supplies are headed to the Wake Forest Lions Club to be used for Backpack Buddies - helping make sure kids have what they need. The pull-ups are making their way to The Lake House Program for teen moms at the Boys & Girls Club Home of Lake Waccamaw - a program that gives young mothers the chance to continue school while learning how to care for their babies (and supporting their older children too).

This is what it’s about. Sometimes “clearing space” doesn’t just change a home - it changes someone else’s situation entirely.

I know this isn’t the typical transformation I share, but being a part of this today genuinely filled my heart.

And a huge thank you to my amazing client for trusting me and choosing to let these items go so they could bless someone else - that kind of kindness matters more than you know.

A lot of moms were helped today, and my cup is full! ❤️📚🧺

Phase one: we can see the floor again 😅

This one was a full garage reset - not about making it “perfect,” just making it usable again. Sometimes that’s the real win… being able to walk in without climbing over three seasons of life.

We cleared it out, created some breathing room, and gave everything a temporary home in preparation for phase two! Phase two starts tomorrow - racks for tubs to slide into and hooks going up on the walls so this space doesn’t stay in the “in-between” stage for long. We’re getting it set up to work for them, not against them.

Life gets busy, laundry multiplies like it has a personal vendetta, and suddenly your room is working against you instead of for you.

Decluttering doesn’t have to be an all-day, all-at-once kind of thing. For a lot of people, that’s actually what makes it feel so overwhelming in the first place.

Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, it can look like one drawer, one closet, one small space at a time. Those little wins add up, and before you know it, your home starts to feel lighter and more manageable.

There’s something about a good oven transformation that never gets old 🔥

But this one deserves a special shoutout…

Amanda showed UP on this move-out clean and handled this oven like an absolute pro. What started as heavy buildup, burnt-on mess, and a tough reset turned into something you can actually feel good handing back to the next tenant.

This is the kind of work that isn’t easy - it’s time-consuming, detailed, and honestly back-breaking at times. But she didn’t cut corners and made sure it was done right.

I’m so proud to have her on the Just a Mom Helping Moms team 🫶

Before ➡️ After

This kitchen went from overcrowded and hard to navigate… to clean, functional, and easy to maintain.

We went through cabinets, cleared out what wasn’t serving a purpose, and gave everything a place that actually makes sense for everyday use. Counters were reset, zones were created, and now this space works with the home instead of against it.

This is the kind of project that makes your daily routine smoother - cooking, cleaning, putting things away… it all becomes easier when your space is set up right.

• created a simple system to keep it manageable
• and brought the room back to a calm, functional space

Now it’s not just a bedroom again - it’s a place to rest.
