Four styles, one shared language.

Here's a helpful look at the DISC assessment from our Leading by Design community.

DISC isn't just a personality test.

Understanding your behavioral tendencies and those of the people you lead changes how you communicate, delegate, and work through conflict.

What a night!

Our DISHER team and their loved ones gathered at Dutch Village in Holland for our annual company picnic, and the summer evening could not have been better.

From the attractions to the activities, there was something for everyone, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces alongside the family members who make our people who they are.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. Moments like these are what our culture is all about!

Not all conflict is bad. Task conflict, debating ideas and pushing back on decisions, actually sharpens a team. It's relationship conflict that causes real damage.

A helpful distinction from our Leading by Design community.

Not all conflict is created equal.

Task conflict (debating ideas, challenging assumptions, pushing back on decisions, etc.) sharpens teams. Relationship conflict erodes them. The difference comes down to knowing which one you're in and what to do about it.

Proud to see West Michigan's business leaders showing up for conversations like this.

Relational, long-term thinking is exactly what builds resilient regional economies.

West Michigan's Lakeshore economy is built by people who lead with intention.

Last week, we had the opportunity to join Crain's Leadership Exchange in Holland for a conversation about what powers this region, and the takeaways were worth sharing.

From Brett VanderKamp scaling New Holland Brewing into a regional institution, to Paul Brinks driving innovation at Koops Automation Systems, to Liz Hilton building community through KNITit... the through line is clear: diverse industries, aligned values, and leaders who think long-term.

Mandy Cooper and the team at Lakeshore Advantage put it well: this region's strength isn't just economic. It's relational.

That's the kind of leadership we're here for.

The smoke had other plans, but the tradition didn't stop. Our DISHER interns brought the heat indoors this year, grilling up lunch for the whole team.

Some things are worth adapting for. ๐Ÿ”

Two incredible people have joined the DISHER team: meet Amber and Eric!

Amber comes with a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering from Central Michigan University and 7 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in the Medical Device industry. She's a natural problem solver with a love for music, anime, puzzles, and cooking.

Eric joins us as an Account Executive, bringing a strong background in sales development and a genuine passion for mission-driven work. Once he saw how DISHER employees live out the company mission, he knew he wanted to be part of it. Outside of work, you'll find him coaching sports, exploring the outdoors, or soaking up summer on Lake Michigan with his family.

Welcome to the team, Amber and Eric! We're so glad you're here. ๐ŸŽ‰

After 30 years of engineering excellence, it was time to celebrate Todd Kercher!

From earning his mechanical engineering degree at New Mexico State to leading design and development across a wide range of products, Todd has been a constant at DISHER, bringing expertise, dedication, and heart to every project he touched.

Last week, we gathered to honor him and wish him well as he steps into a well-earned retirement filled with travel, sports, and time with the people he loves most.

Todd, it's been an honor. Congratulations, and thank you for everything! ๐ŸŽ‰

"Intellect is the power tool of our separateness. The intuitive, compassionate heart is the doorway to our unity."

That quote captures something we try to live out every day โ€” and especially during our quarterly team off-site last month. We came together to listen, collaborate, challenge one another, and simply be together.

Because that's what our culture is built on. Not just getting things done (though we do that too, and usually with a little fun mixed in), but truly seeing and understanding each other โ€” the way we each think, lead, and show up. That understanding is what allows us to bring our best to our clients, to each other, and to our broader community.

After 19 years, we're celebrating one of the people who helped shape our organization into what it is today.

Keri McCarthy joined DISHER Corp. and spent nearly two decades building relationships, growing our reach, and showing up for this team with consistency, care, and a whole lot of heart. The kind of contribution that doesn't show up in a single milestone; it shows up in the culture, the clients, and the people she worked alongside every day.

Keri, thank you for everything you've poured into this company. We're so grateful for your years of leadership and wish you all the best in this next chapter. You've more than earned it!
