Thank you so much to Farm Credit for the grain bin extrication equipment donation and supper. Also to Ryan Engelman from Grain Bin Rescue Equipment for the excellent training! We wouldn’t be able to have this amazing equipment without the donations from these companies and people that help our Fire Department keep our equipment up-to-date and to get new equipment and training, so our response time is faster and more efficient. The last couple years we have gotten a few really good grants and donations so we would like to thank our donators we couldn’t do it without you thank you!!

This is from today’s fire we had by Zeeland. It was a controlled burn that was never called in to get permission to burn and ended up getting out of control. Reminder, we are still in a burn ban. You need to call before you burn. If you’re planning on burning something and the burn ban restriction permits it, please call either Dean Schumacher at 701-851-0331 or Jacob Ebel at 701-731-0607 and one of us will assist you whether you can burn or not if you are in our fire district. Just a quick reminder to McIntosh County residents, land owners and farm operators that our annual Zeeland Fire board meeting will be this evening. Free burgers and hotdogs starting at 530 and meeting to follow at 7. Theres always a need for more input and discussion from everyone. Feel free to bring the kids as we may do some fire truck demonstrations.
