We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join the team in Grand Rapids, Michigan to help support our Mission and Beliefs (biologos.org/about). This position would be grant funded for 3 years with the possibility of becoming permanent after that.
Working with the Director of Communications and collaborating with others, the Marketing Specialist will help develop, build, support and measure organizational and programmatic cross-channel marketing initiatives, in particular the BioLogos INTEGRATE program and BioLogos public events. This position requires a motivated, self-starter who can work independently, generate creative ideas and visual assets to satisfy project needs, and manage projects with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Our Marketing Specialist’s responsibilities include the following:
• Collaborate with others to brainstorm and develop, prioritize, manage, and measure strategic marketing initiatives
• Generate copy and creative assets (or work with external agency when applicable), including both digital and print, to meet marketing campaign requirements in conjunction with brand guide and program goals
• Monitor and maintain ecommerce experience, including customer service requests, product updates, and stakeholder data requests
• Support in-person and/or virtual events, working closely with event coordinator to assist with various tasks, including production of assets and any promotional needs
• Work with Director of Communications to help coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts, and ensure existing marketing materials adhere to brand standards and guidelines
• Work onsite at our office in Grand Rapids, MI
What we are seeking in our Marketing Specialist:
• A Christian faith alignment, with enthusiasm for the mission of BioLogos
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/related program and/or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experience in marketing and relevant tactics, with an emphasis on digital marketing
• Technical proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar and proofreading skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and excellent follow-through
• Proficient with various social media platforms
• Knowledge of email marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp)
• Familiarity with Google Analytics
• Ability to travel up to 3 times annually for events and conferences
