Our Story

In 1999, three forward thinking investors came up with the idea that user-friendly Windows-based software could revolutionize computer records management in law enforcement. The company's original investors decided to headquarter the company in Zelienople, PA, and hired its VP of Development, Kirk Farra, who went on to build the team to achieve this mission.

Originally, In-Synch Systems invested heavily in creating core technologies that were envisioned as being valuable to law enforcement. An early triumph included the development of a prototype Computer Aided Dispatch System for the California Highway Patrol through a contract with IBM. This CAD system enabled all operations of a dispatch center to instantly fail-over to a secondary backup location in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. After a number of years of research and development, In-Synch Systems decided to focus exclusively on providing Records Management, Field Reporting and Data-Sharing products to the Public Safety industry.

Post 9/11, our company and products were well situated to meet the needs of disaster recovery initiatives and were selected via competitive bid for both the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of National Drug Control Policy grant programs for law enforcement. These grant programs dispersed our product nationally and enabled us to continue our development efforts in designing products that were vital for any law enforcement agency. In 2009, Kirk Farra put In-Synch Systems in the national spotlight by testifying before Congress on the need for federal grants to law enforcement agencies under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

When consolidation has been the industry trend, In-Synch Systems remains owned and operated by one of its original founding members. Today, In-Synch Systems serves more than 260 public safety and private security agencies throughout the United States and Canada. Its formula for success remains the same: an architecture supporting disaster recovery, powerful investigative tools, built-in data-sharing, and our outstanding customer service.
