Fall colors are beginning to shine in Eastern Washington. First are the bright red sumac, followed by the yellows and oranges of other trees. On you way to Bonair, take a side trip through the Ellensburg Canyon or come over White Pass and down the Tieton River Canyon.

SPRING BARREL TASTING WEEKEND: April 24, 25, and 26 is a special time for enjoying spring in the vineyards and excellent w**es. Lots of people and lots of fun! We all ask that you bring your own glass or purchase one at the w**ery.
This year we will not have tasting of w**es from the barrels, but we are featuring w**es aged with oak chips. Most affordable w**es today are flavored with chips and this is your chance to taste sample chips.
Why chips? It is a long story. Back in about 2008 the French coopers decided there was enough demand for French barrels that they raised the price from $300 per barrel to over $400 per barrel. It was a bad move since at the same time the Euro hit its highest mark against the US dollar. 1.60 US dollars to 1.00 Euro. So, the price of French oak didn’t just go up as planned. It exploded to over $1000 per barrel. W**eries were quick to find a solution – ground-up French oak wood. So we are going to share samples of oak chipped w**es to educate your pallates.

We guarantee our red w**es for ten years. How about a 26-year-old w**e. Last night we opened a 2000 Morrison Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. it was amazing. Look at the bright crimson color: no browning. Fresh flavors. If you have an old Bonair w**e, please share when you open it.

Yes, we do hold small events. Sergio, our UPS driver, chose Bonair W**ery to propose to his fiancee under a heart of red roses in front of the chapel. Later everyone retired to the tasting room for hors d'oeuvres, w**e, and Ranchero music. By the way, she said, 'yes.' Here Shirley and Sergio pose for a photo op.
