After 6 months in oak and 3 months in the bottle, the new 22 vintage from Profundo Vineyards & Wine is here.
We’re delighted with the deep ruby colour and hints of cooked red fruits on the nose followed by soft blueberry & slight savoury textures. Both combined with a fantastic fusion of oak aromas.
On the palate this tannat merlot is medium in body with a good bite of tannin. Lots of lovely dried cooked fruit and cranberry flavours with a slight spice on the finish. Perfect to accompany a classic Uruguayan asado.

So happy with the results of our entry into the Intenational Wine Challenge competition held in London that were announced today. The Tannat & merlot blend 2020 was our first vintage and the vines were only 3 years in the ground and so the best is still yet to come 🎉🙏🍇🍷

A big thankyou to all who joined in the fun of our Tannat harvest yesterday. Three hours of grape picking followed by brick oven cooked pizzas washed down with last year's Tannat Merlot blend. All the signs are pointing to another good Profundo year. 🙌🙏🍇🍷
