🍃I spent years choosing jobs based on one thing: No weekend work.

There was a time when I worked in HR at a global company, and one thing I always looked for was a Mon–Fri schedule. Weekends were for sleeping in, resting, and having my own time.

Funny how life changes. Since becoming a , some Saturday mornings now start with paperwork, early appointments, and adjusting my schedule around my clients’ availability — just like this morning.

A small reminder that sometimes the freedom we chase doesn’t mean working less. Sometimes it means choosing why we work, and who we show up for.

Thank you to my client from India today for trusting me to be part of your journey, stress free completely 🙏

🇦🇺 “I’ve already been back and forth 4 times before I met you…”

That’s what my client U80 told me this morning after we completed his Vietnamese driver’s license conversion.

We first met on Thursday, and by Saturday morning, everything was completed smoothly.

Only after finishing did I realize how stressful the process had been for him before — multiple trips, unclear instructions, and uncertainty. He even reminded me to print the documents before submission 😊
But everything had already been carefully prepared in advance. Since I’ve worked with Australian license conversions before, I knew exactly what was needed.

At the end, he smiled and said:

“You will get more client. Thank you so much. Very easy to deal with you.”

That honestly made my day 🌻🌷

Sometimes, people don’t just need help with paperwork — they simply need someone experienced who can make the process easier and less stressful.

After my recent post about obtaining a Vietnamese birth certificate for an American baby born in Vietnam, I received 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 asking about 𝙑𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨, 𝙑𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙑𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙨.

So I would like to clarify the scope of my service:

I only support Vietnamese birth certificate applications for babies born in Vietnam 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬. In most of these cases, families face language barriers and difficulties navigating Vietnamese administrative procedures, so they need local assistance.

I do NOT handle:

❌Vietnamese citizenship applications
❌Vietnamese passport applications
❌Re-obtaining/re-registering old Vietnamese birth certificates
❌Cases where one parent is Vietnamese and the other is a foreigner

Thank you everyone for your understanding and support 🙏

You may not know, but we are outside today practicing for the motorbike driving test 😎”

While there are still 15+ unread messages waiting on the page, my husband and I spent today at the training ground preparing our clients from Belgium, Egypt, USA, Russia, South Africa and Ecuador for their upcoming test next week 🇧🇪🇪🇬🇺🇸🇪🇨

Most people only see the final result:
✅ Vietnamese licence issued
✅ Passed the test
✅ Documents completed

But behind that, there are also:

⚡practice sessions under the sun
⚡explaining the test route again and again
⚡helping nervous clients feel more confident before exam day
and many hours outside, not behind a laptop 😅

😧Some clients come to Vietnam having never ridden a semi-auto bike, manual bike before.
😧Some are stressed because licence conversion is no longer possible for their case.
😧Some simply want to ride legally and settle their life in Vietnam.

And honestly, seeing clients improve lap by lap is one of the most satisfying parts of this job 😊

So if my replies are a little slower than usual, I truly appreciate your understanding 🙏
If your case is urgent, please feel free to send one extra message with “URGENT” so I can prioritize it for you.

Back in January, an American mother reached out to me about obtaining a Vietnamese birth certificate for her newborn daughter.

At that time, I was overloaded with ongoing cases, so I honestly told her I could not take new clients. She still came back after Tết and said she would feel most comfortable working with me because she had seen that I handled many complicated cases carefully.

To be honest, birth certificate service is not something I usually take on.
Not because it is impossible — but because these cases can involve many details, unexpected document issues, and very stressful timelines for new parents. I prefer to only accept them when I know I can truly focus and do the work properly.

This case involved an American couple, a newborn baby, and missing marriage documents. We carefully reviewed the situation, prepared the paperwork, and worked step by step to make sure everything was handled correctly.

Result:
• Submitted on 19/5
• Vietnamese birth certificate issued on 20/5

Completed within 1 working day ☺️

I may not accept every case that comes to me, but when I do, I always try to handle it with full responsibility and care for my clients.

👩🏼”Hello! I’m in the hospital, I had a motorbike accident…”🚨

She only started her 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 process 3 days ago…
Yesterday, she told me she now needs surgery after a 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭.

This situation honestly reminded me how important it is to have a valid driving license in Vietnam — not just for legal reasons, but also for 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 when unexpected accidents happen.

On May 6th, a client contacted me for help obtaining a lifetime motorbike license in Vietnam.
On May 12th, she decided to move forward with the process.
On May 14th, I had already assisted her with converting her foreign driving license, and we were preparing for the next step: registering her for the Vietnamese motorbike test, since her current license did not include a motorcycle category.

Then, on May 15th, she informed me that she had been involved in a motorbike accident and now requires surgery.

Accidents can happen at any moment, even when nobody expects them.
What many foreigners do not realize is that in Vietnam, if you are riding without the appropriate license, insurance companies 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

This is exactly why I always encourage my clients to complete their driving license process as early as possible. Many people think it can wait until later — until an unexpected situation happens and they suddenly understand how important this small document really is.

I hope this story helps others better understand the importance of having the correct driving license before riding in Vietnam — not only to comply with local regulations, but also to protect yourself financially and legally if something unfortunate happens.

Offering a basic 30-minute consultation only.

Client sends a 2-page document with 35 in-depth questions before the call.

Me: “So… this is no longer a basic consultation.” 😬

Today I assisted with the birth certificate process for a baby with U.S. nationality in Da Nang.

The officers were genuinely supportive, the process was smooth and fast, the parents were cooperative, and even the 4-month-old baby was in a good mood the whole time 😊

Moments like this make me appreciate Da Nang even more — such a friendly city with warm-hearted people.

𝟑-𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐓𝐑𝐂 𝐓𝐓 🇻🇳❤️

This morning, I had a short conversation with 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 who handled 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝’𝐬 𝐓𝐑𝐂 application 2 years ago. I took the chance to ask whether the TRC process has changed much recently, and if my husband could still receive a 3-year TRC.

Because lately, many applications in Ho Chi Minh City have only been granted 1–2 years.

And then I received the answer: “𝐘𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝟑-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐓𝐑𝐂𝐬.”
Honestly, I’ve never felt so excited to renew my husband’s TRC before 😆.

Sometimes, just one simple and kind answer can brighten your whole day. The longer I work in this field, the more I appreciate the kind and supportive people helping with immigration procedures in my hometown ❤️
