Force Multiplier - From military service to Learning & Development

New hire Kenneth Goins brings more than 13 years of experience in education, training and professional development to Atlas.

Kenneth has taught and developed more than 5,000 learners, with experience spanning classroom education, corporate English training, professional communication, leadership development and organisational learning. Kenneth holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Education, as well as CELTA, IELTS teaching and Six Sigma Certified Corporate Trainer qualifications. Kenneth is also completing a PhD in Leadership and Research, which is expected to be awarded in November 2026.

Since joining Atlas, Kenneth has focused on developing Learning & Development systems that connect employee development with the capabilities required by the business. Current work includes the Atlas Competency Framework, Technical Career Pathways, mandatory training and promotion requirements, senior management professional communication, English capability development, Atlas Academy and university initiatives supporting the future BIM talent pipeline.

Kenneth’s combination of military, education and corporate training experience brings a practical approach to Learning & Development at Atlas, with a focus on creating clear development pathways, measurable workplace capability and opportunities for employees to progress.

Strengthening our transport and structural capabilities: Welcome Tien Nguyen, Associate Technical Director at Atlas.

Tien brings over 18 years of experience in bridge and structural design, with a strong track record delivering major transport infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. His experience also includes technical advisory work supporting donor-funded and government-funded infrastructure development programmes in Indonesia.
Throughout his career, Tien has involved in the design and assessment of a wide range of bridge and structural assets, including concrete and steel bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, track slabs, and other miscellaneous structures. He also has extensive experience in inspection, condition assessment, and detailed engineering assessment of bridges and related structures.
At Atlas, Tien will apply his technical leadership, multidisciplinary expertise, and practical project delivery experience to help strengthen our transport and structural capabilities.

We are excited to be able to offer you the experience and perspective that Tien brings to the Atlas Difference.

Atlas is delighted to welcome an important new addition to its Business Development team; please meet Akira Hosomi who will be working out of the company's Ho Chi Minh City HQ.

Hosomi-san is a highly experienced railway and public transport specialist with extensive expertise in the transportation sector. He will support the development of Atlas’s Japanese projects and clients.

His impressive academic qualifications include master’s degrees in Transport Planning and Urban Planning, as well as Doctor of Engineering in Built Environment.

With extensive Asia-Pacific experience Dr Hosomi has a 25-year track record of consultation and major development work that includes operation, regulatory and maintenance oversight of significant rail infrastructure such as the recent HCMC Urban Railway Line-1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien) and Jakarta’s MRT North-South Line (JICA ODA).

Within Vietnam itself Hosomi-san had overall responsibility for railway development for Japan Railway Technical Service (JARTS) and Japan International Consultants for Transportation Co., Ltd. (JIC).
