📝Applying for a 𝑽𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒏𝒂𝒎 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒕?
A 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 is mandatory, but choosing the right hospital (and knowing the 𝐟𝐞𝐞) can be confusing.

We’ve compiled a 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐛𝐲-𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 that commonly conduct work permit health checks, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬 across Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and more.

✔️ Hospital names & locations
✔️ Reference health check fees
✔️ Practical notes for foreign applicants

⚠️ Fees are for reference only and may change — always confirm directly with the hospital before visiting.

🔎𝐓𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭?

If you’re planning to live here long-term — or already in Vietnam and looking for stability — the biggest question is always:

“𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬?”

It’s a common concern. Many newcomers spend months browsing random posts, applying through the wrong channels, or relying on guesswork… and still feel unsure about what really works — or what can actually support a legal stay in Vietnam.

So we put together a practical guide based on the platforms and communities that expats actually use.

In the article, you’ll find:

✅The most reliable job websites for foreigners
✅Social-media groups where opportunities are shared daily
✅Other effective ways to find work you might not have considered

If your goal is a stable job — and a stable life — in Vietnam, this guide will help you know exactly where to look.

If you’re a foreigner living in Vietnam (or planning to come) and teaching English isn’t the right fit, there are still plenty of opportunities to build a career here. However, what many people don’t realize is that not every job leads to a 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆.

That’s why in this post, instead of only listing job titles, we focus on what really matters:
Which jobs are realistic to get, which ones can help you stay legally, and what you should keep in mind before applying.

📌 𝗔 𝗙𝗲𝘄 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

Many jobs are 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 (freelance, creative work, hospitality…), but they don’t offer work permits or TRCs. These can be good short-term solutions, but not sustainable if you plan to 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺.

Jobs at 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻-𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 with branches in Vietnam often provide better chances of legal employment and work permit sponsorship.

If you have savings or want more independence, 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 is also a valid path. Many expats choose this option to legally stay in Vietnam and apply for a 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱 (𝗧𝗥𝗖) without depending on an employer.

📲 In our next post, we’ll share something even more useful — 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀: websites, platforms, communities, and hiring networks for foreigners in Vietnam.

⚡️Good news for those working in Vietnam. Since August 7, 2025, obtaining a work permit (WP) has become easier.

⏱ 10 working days instead of 50 previously (if you have all documents prepared).

What changed:
1️⃣ The quota application process and the work permit issuance were merged, reducing the total review time.
2️⃣ The mandatory job posting period at the Employment Center was shortened from 15 to 5 days.

In addition, now:
✅ Work experience obtained in Vietnam can be used for WP application purposes.
✅ For senior positions in companies, it is no longer necessary to prove the candidate’s education level or work experience.
Other updates:
✅ The state authority responsible for issuing WPs has changed: previously MOLISA (Ministry of Labor), now MOHA (Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam).
✅ It is expected that medical certificates for WPs will soon be accepted not only from local but also from foreign clinics (not yet applicable!).
✅ A criminal record certificate is no longer required from the country of citizenship — it is sufficient to apply to the local police in Vietnam and obtain a certificate of no criminal record within Vietnam.

💻 Cryptocurrency in Vietnam: A New Era from 2026.
Starting January 1, 2026, Law No. 71/2025/QH15 will come into effect in Vietnam, officially recognizing cryptocurrencies as a form of property for the first time. Owners gain the right to legally hold, trade, and protect their digital assets in court. However, there are also strict restrictions.

❓What exactly will change in 2026, and what risks and opportunities does this open up for investors and companies? Read our legal overview.

‼️Frequently Asked Question:
Can a foreigner receive VND transfers from a Vietnamese individual to their Vietnamese bank account via P2P? The answer is — no.

Two main risks:
☑️ The tax authority may interpret this as income and impose taxes + penalties.
☑️ The Ministry of Public Security (DOHA) may interpret this as illegal labor/entrepreneurial activity, which carries more serious liability.
The digital exchange of data between banks, the tax authority, and other agencies is accelerating.
