A long time coming

Recently got back into the usual business attire, to which I had been so accustomed over the years in the Hospitality Industry, and after shedding 40+ kilos it is once again a comfortable look

WALKING IN SAIGON......PART 3
Well, on Tuesday I started the second part of the personal trainer programme and everything is just that little bit easier at the moment. That is of course during the exercises, maybe because the body had a chance to rest a little but also the fact that breathing is now much easier and more natural.
So we had the tape measure out on Tuesday morning as the new starting point to be measured against and already there is a "significant" variation after only 3 days exercise.
This week: (after only 3 days exercise and training)
chest less 4cm
middle less 4cm
butt less 3cm
weight less 3kg
What will the next 21 days of training bring about I wonder?
In the second photo, these office trousers were bought after only 3 weeks of walking (back in June) at size 46 and last week they were altered by the tailor and reduced by 10cm in the waist and are already, after only 1 week of usage, pretty comfortable but becoming loose! Got to be getting close to size 40 already

WALKING IN SAIGON..... PHASE 2 COMPLETE

I can honestly say i did not think, ever, that I would get to this point in my life where professional assistance would be engaged to get me back to fitness and that I would complete 6 weeks of 6 days a week with the trainer. Plus an extra session in the evenings making, including the walking to and from the gym/office on a daily basis, 4 hours a day
Sunday was my day off!
Anyway, today is weights and measures day and, overall, I think not too bad really.
Today:
Middle down 4cm
Weight down 2kg
Butt down 3cm
Total for 6 weeks with trainer:
Middle down 25cm
Weight down 12kg
Butt down 6cm
Total estimated weight loss since May 11:
29kg
Now the big question is, do I continue with the trainer for another 3 1/2 weeks, up to my personal target date of September 10 (4 months after beginning the process) or just get him to design a daily workout routine for me and take the initiative myself to reach the goal?
Whichever way, maybe I should hold off for another few weeks before buying the necessary new casual trousers which would then be available from the "normal" size shop.

WALKING IN SAIGON..... THE END OF THE SECOND PHASE IS NEAR
As a quick recap, on May 10, 2015 I moved house and on May 11 I started to walk to and from the house and office as the timing and opportunity presented themselves to change my way of life in a big way. The first 2 photos show January 2015 just after I arrived in Vietnam and May 8, 3 days before I started to walk. I do not know how many kg i was weighing at the time but a good estimate indicates "far too many!"
To follow the sequence of the photos, the third photo shows me after 7 weeks of walking (but not yet signed up for the gym)
July 1, which was the day I began the exercising with a personal trainer and intensifying the process of size reduction with the added value of "getting fit!" From this point onwards we have a record of the weekly reduction in size and weight and the last photo shows me after 5 weeks of focused exercises 6 days a week.
Tomorrow will be the final day of this phase and all weights and measures will be taken and logged before deciding on the next course of action with the target date being September 10 (4 months after the process began)
What has been established?
a) no more seat belt extensions needed on flights
b) no BRA needed after all
c) loose fitting clothes is a thing to enjoy
d) when you get the breathing right exercise is just another process towards a goal
f) with the right mind set dieting is also not necessary, listen to your body
g) punishing exercises can be beneficial in the long run
h) I would not want to be a body builder
Watch this space TOMORROW!
