scorching May morning in Saigon.
While most of the city was still asleep in air-conditioned rooms and weekend coffee routines, the RC team was already at the flying field before sunrise. Only those who truly love this hobby understand the feeling: the fresh morning air, the scent of dry grass mixed with glow fuel, and the crisp sound of engines breaking the silence of an open field. No resorts. No fancy cafés for “healing” like modern life keeps trying to sell us. Just a beautiful pattern ship, a few real friends, a full tank of fuel, and a sky wide enough to leave stress and worries behind.
The Curare looked like a living tribute to the golden era of F3A. Bright colors under the sun, the unmistakable sound of glow engines, and smooth takeoffs that seemed to pull everyone away from the noise of everyday life. Some pleasures are expensive, yet quickly forgotten.
But mornings like this stay with you for years.
The smell of fuel. The sound of the wind. And the feeling of standing at the field with friends, watching classic pattern aircraft come alive again.
