Hi All, I'm looking for a Head of Project Management to be based in Hanoi for an International Land Development Company.
Job Description
Project Management – Service delivery
• Develops and implements strategic objectives that are aligned with the company strategic initiatives.
• Organizes, plans, and prioritizes work to ensure all projects accomplish timely.
• Observes and controls generally the construction activities at the company job sites for compliance with plans and specifications, reviews projects status reports sent by PMD managers and addresses issues as appropriate to ensure no any non-compliance or deviation from the plans and specifications.
• Develops or generally manages implementation quality control programs, implements engagement review in accordance with our methodology to ensure profitable and successful ex*****on of consulting engagements as measured by regional goals and customer satisfaction.
• Investigates damages, accidents or delay at construction sites, to assure that proper procedures are being carried out by PMD manager, site managers.
• Prepares er****on method, site organization chart and presentation for special & big projects.
• Coordinate with Customer Service Department (CSD) to give info about priority of jobs to be fabricated as per site condition.
• Coordinate with CSD to give info about priority / phase of material to be fabricated as per client requests.
Internal system development
• Enforces standard policies, procedures and working manual for the whole PMD in Vietnam and overseas as well.
• Actively involves in the company R&D activities as a key member.
• Provides guidance, consultation and expert advice to management board or other departments on technical, systems, installation works for special projects.
Clients
• Ensures the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients, acting as primary interface to help maintain and build client confidence.
• Leads the delivery of a high quality consultancy service to clients.
• Attends key Client meetings and act as the technical lead in regards to project management area as required.
• Confers with PMD manager, site manager, owners, contractors or design professionals to discuss and provide solution to solve problems, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Represent the company in liaising with external and internal contact to develop effective relationship with clients.
Job Requirement
• University degree in mechanical engineering / civil engineering. MBA is an advantage.
• Deep knowledge of project management, having PMP certificate is an advantage.
• More than 10 year experience at Construction field at Management level.
• 7 year experience in Pre-engineering projects.
• Having experience in cost management, time management and project planning.
• Excellent command in English.
• Strong leadership skill and experience in managing a big team with good proven track record
• Strong decision making skill and good presentation skill
• Deep understanding and experience in the application of safety legislation, corporate safety procedures and quality control.
• Good understanding of commercial issues affecting project performance and experience in assessing value / evaluating variations of construction works undertaken.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively construction contractors and their employees at all levels.
• Well organized, disciplined and able to perform under pressure.
