The Malaysia Business Chamber Vietnam - MBC and we at PwC Vietnam, alongside international business chambers, proudly co-hosted the exclusive seminar "Making AI Work: Turning Proof of Concept to Value" on 16 June 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
We were delighted to welcome esteemed guests:
🔸 H.E Firdauz Othman – Consul General of Malaysia (Consulate General of Malaysia, Ho Chi Minh City)
🔸 H.E Carolina Tinangon – Consul General of Indonesia (Indonesian Consulate General HCMC)
🔸 H.E Pang Te Cheng – Consul General of Singapore (Singapore Embassy in Hanoi and Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City)
🔸 H.E Wiraka Moodhitaporn – Consul General of Thailand (Royal Thai Consulate-General, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)
The seminar united over 70 business leaders and tech experts to explore how to fast-track AI adoption and bridge the "value gap" between investment and tangible business outcomes.
H.E Firdauz Othman, Consul General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City, opened the session, followed by a keynote from Mr. Vishy Narayanan – Asia Pacific Digital & AI Leader, PwC. He shared how organisations can transition from proof-of-concept to proof-of-value, urging leaders to view AI not just as a tool, but as a new ex*****on system built on workflows, skills, governance, and collaboration.
The forum also featured a dynamic panel discussion led by Mr. David Tay, General Secretary, MBC and Markets Director, PwC Vietnam, with insights from:
🔸 Mr. Le Ngoc Quoc Khanh – Deputy Head of Digitalization & Data Unit, Gamuda Land Vietnam
🔸 Mr. Pho Duc Giang – Partner and AI Leader, Digital Trust and Cybersecurity Services, PwC Vietnam
🔸 Mr. Vishy Narayanan – Asia Pacific Digital & AI Leader, PwC
Key insights highlighted that the barriers to scaling AI are increasingly organisational rather than technological, covering data readiness, workforce capability, responsible AI governance, and the need for focused, high-impact use cases supported by committed leadership.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to MBC for the valued partnership and to all industry leaders who joined and contributed to these insightful discussions. We look forward to continuing these conversations and exploring new ways to turn AI ambition into measurable value.
