There are 2 methods to control the backflow current. It is about design method:
1: Zero Export function controlled by MCU inside the inverter.
+ Pros: Never export to the grid even when the inverter is offline without internet connection.
+ Cons: Can not intergrate this function into old models of same brand inverters. Only the brand can do. Because they need to reprogram and upgrade hardware, it is very risky.
2: Zero Eport via data logger outside the inverter:
+ Pros: Apply this function to old model of inverter easilly. Only need some skill to upgrade the hardware anybody can do. We can take advantage cheap inverters to have this function.
+ Cons: flow current back to the grid if there is no internet connection.
