In partnership with the Pacific Climate Change Centre hosted at Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme - SPREP and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the series will open with โOcean Climate Action: Blue Pacific Leadership on the Road to COP 31 and Beyond.โ
This timely conversation will explore the oceanโclimate nexus through Pacific-led perspectives on ocean science, governance, climate justice and collective action. With COP 31 approaching, the webinar will centre Pacific knowledge, priorities and leadership in conversations on blue carbon, marine finance and ocean-based climate solutions.
Joining us as panellists are Professor Dr Steven Ratuva, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Pacific; Director, Macmillan Brown Centre for Pacific Studies, University of Canterbury, Dr Vaeno Wayne Vigulu, Dean, Administration, Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry (FAFF); Department of Environmental Studies, Solomon Island National University - SINU and Mr Stanley Wapot, Managing Director and Advisor for Environment and Climate Change, Infinity Blue PNG.
