Highlights included opening remarks from Ambassador of Finland to Kosovo Eevamari Laaksonen and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo Glauk Konjufca, as well as insights from Ambassador of Sweden to Kosovo Jonas Westerlund.

Key moments included impactful keynotes by strategic communication expert Markku Mantila and investigative journalist Jessikka Aro, a panel on building resilience with communications specialist Saara Jantunen-Paju, media education expert Saara Salomaa, and University of Prishtina lecturer and journalist Dren Gërguri.

The day concluded with a practical workshop on strengthening media literacy across society.

Happy Nordic Day! 🇩🇰🇫🇮🇮🇸🇳🇴🇸🇪

Today we celebrate , one of the world’s oldest forms of regional political collaboration, formally anchored in the Helsinki Treaty signed in 1962.

For over six decades, the Nordic countries have worked together to strengthen sustainability, culture, economic cooperation, and regional resilience.

We celebrate this strong spirit of unity and shared values, also reflected in the growing relationship between Kosovo and the Nordic region.

Here is to continued partnership, collaboration, and mutual growth.

As we come to the end of the year, we are proud to share a short recap of 2025 and a glimpse of what lies ahead in 2026.

2025 has been an incredible year for the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo. Nearly 90 Swedish and Finnish companies visited Kosovo, exploring new opportunities and building strong connections that are already leading to business deals.

Our membership grew steadily, and strategic partnerships flourished both locally and internationally. Our cooperation with the Swedish and Finnish embassies remained stronger than ever, and the events we co-organized together were a great success. These events brought together senior leaders, encouraged meaningful dialogue, and helped create lasting partnerships.

We are proud members of the Helsinki Chamber of Commerce and have taken important steps toward joining the Swedish International Chamber of Commerce. At the same time, we established initial connections with the Norwegian Embassy in Zagreb and the Kosovo Consulate in Denmark, opening new paths for international collaboration.

With several Nordic companies expected to establish a presence in Kosovo next year, 2026 is shaping up to be even brighter.

Together, we are building bridges, creating opportunities, and shaping the business landscape of tomorrow.

Happy holidays and a prosperous New Year to all.

Celebrating St. Lucia, a beloved Swedish tradition which brings light, joy, and warmth during the darkest days of the year. ✨

Saint Lucia is a symbol of hope and kindness, reminding us how simple acts of light and sharing can brighten the lives of those around us. This year, we were delighted to join the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina and contribute a business perspective to the celebration for the first time.

It was a meaningful moment to connect with our members, partners, and friends, and to reflect on a year shaped by cooperation and shared values.

We warmly thank our sponsors, JYSK Kosovo, Jardin Prishtina, RPHS Law, Nikola Tesla, and Volvo Car Kosova for their support. And all our members for being part of our community this year — your involvement makes our work possible and strengthens Nordic–Kosovo connections.

We look forward to continuing these partnerships, building stronger ties between the business and cultural communities, and sharing more moments of collaboration, growth, and light in the year ahead.

Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating Finland’s 108th Independence Day together with many partners and friends. It was a wonderful moment to celebrate Finland, strengthen ties, and look ahead to new opportunities for collaboration.

During the event, the Ambassador of Finland to Kosovo, H.E Eevamari Laaksonen, in her speech highlighted our role and collaboration and shared:

“I also want to mention our work to promote investment and business opportunities for Finnish companies. Finland values innovation, transparency and sustainable growth. Here in Kosovo, we see a young and dynamic economy that shares the same aspirations. Together we aim to build stronger economic ties. Also, I encourage all business representatives to make full use of the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in advancing our shared goals.”

The gathering brought together partners from many sectors, creating a welcoming space to exchange ideas, explore new possibilities, and celebrate the strong friendship between Finland and Kosovo.
