Zbulimet e reja shkencore në Parkun Arkeologjik Ulpiana – Iustiniana Secunda (PAUIS)
Një studim i ri shkencor, i botuar në revistën ndërkombëtare ArcheoSciences – R***e d’archéométrie (2025), paraqet rezultatet e hulumtimeve ndërdisiplinore mbi qytetin e Antikitetit të Vonë Iustiniana Secunda, të ndërtuar pranë Ulpianës historike.
Përmes kombinimit të metodave moderne gjeofizike (rezistivitet elektrik dhe radar depërtues në tokë), gërmimeve arkeologjike dhe analizave arkeometrike, janë identifikuar 129 struktura urbane, përfshirë ndërtesa publike dhe rrugë monumentale me portikë (platea).
Ky hulumtim përforcon përkushtimin institucional për mbrojtjen, studimin dhe promovimin e trashëgimisë kulturore në Parkun Arkeologjik Ulpiana – Iustiniana Secunda.

New scientific discoveries at the Archaeological Park of Ulpiana – Iustiniana Secunda (APUIS)
A new peer-reviewed study, published in ArcheoSciences – R***e d’archéométrie (2025), presents the results of interdisciplinary research on the Late Antique city of Iustiniana Secunda, located adjacent to the Roman city of Ulpiana.
By combining geophysical surveys (electrical resistivity and ground-penetrating radar), archaeological excavations and archaeometric analyses, 129 urban structures have been identified, including public buildings and monumental porticoed streets.
This research highlights the importance of Ulpiana as a key urban centre of Late Antiquity and reinforces ongoing efforts for the protection and sustainable management of cultural heritage.
