Hey lovelies! 🤗If you’ve followed my stories lately you’ll know that I recently made my way out to Cali to finally visit my wonderful boyfriend! … After 7 whole months 🤯🥲❤️

I had plans to post a different theme of content today but I can’t seem to shake off my mind! 🤍

That being how grateful I am of this opportunity to work online. (and ofc I can’t get my man off my mind either hehe) 🥰

This is my biggest Why. ✨

Why am I doing this?? Because I want the freedom. I want the freedom to be able to take trips whenever I feel the urge to visit my boyfriend, to simply be able to take days off when I’m not feeling well! Not to mention the financial freedom! 💫

I used to think that was SO much to ask for! Being sick & not having to drag myself to work + somehow get through the day? Asking for a few days off to pack up & travel to see someone you love? Simply just LIVING our lives to their fullest! 🤩

Why is it so normalized to work our lives away and not appreciate the beauty of self care, or the beauty of traveling and seeing the world! Doing all the things we wish to do in our young lives! 🌈

This journey has been so scary right from the start. Heck, even before the actual start, when it was only an idea in my head from seeing someone post videos about their own life as a VA!

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing. Starting up your own biz + building from the ground up is never easy! There were an ample amount of questions I had before starting, let alone all the questions that came about once I dove in!! 🤯

I’m here to say that taking the chance feels so worth it.

I can finally see myself creating the career I had always dreamt of but never thought possible! (haha I know that sounds so cheesy, but it’s SO true!) 😊

Research research research!!!

You have so many built in Instagram features given right to you! That are quite user-friendly! 🤍

There’s a couple things you need to do.

O N E - First make sure your ‘activity status’ is switched to ‘on’ that way you can use this feature. Act as if you're going to post a Story, then slide over to ‘Live’ and without even going live, it will show you how many of your followers are currently active online! 👀

T W O - ✨ INSIGHTS!! ✨Go to your profile, view insights, and look into the data provided about your audience. It will display which days of the week are most popular for your followers +++ more specifically, which hours of each day are most busy! 🔥
(Also, if you click on the bar graphs, it will show you exact numbers rather than the bar estimate!)

It is so ideal to post during your followings most active times. That way when refreshed, your content will appear right at the top of their feed! ✔️
Leading to of course, more reach for that content you spent hours upon hours on creating!! 🤩

And pstttt… p.s…. This isnt even mentioning hashtags!! 😍.. But that’s a long conversation for another day 😉

❗️Attention all you biz owners!! Yes you!! :)

Instagram has once again… you guessed it… changed the algorithm :’)

Reels, they’re trending right now. Everyone’s trying to push them out. But one thing you may want to take into consideration now would be those pesky watermarks.

Instagram is de-ranking Reels containing these watermarks and you won’t be letting that video get the views it deserves!! 🙁

Tik Tok is a great place for making those short clips. And trust me I understand!! And if you want to keep using it- go for it! You can screen record + crop + upload to reels + add the new sound and post!

But, I’ve also included some of my go-to video editing apps that you could switch to!

These apps are all free and so simple to use… a VERY appealing combination :)

1️⃣𝗩𝗢𝗡𝗧: transcribes the original audio + creative editing option for text!

2️⃣𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗣: awesome visual effects selection + in-app music options + create voiceovers.
