Every opportunity has the potential to grow my business. But not every opportunity aligns with the standard I’ve set for Accountable Bookkeeping Solutions.

I believe every client deserves to feel like they have a partner invested in their success. To me, that means taking ownership. It means caring about the outcome, treating their business with the same sense of urgency and attention I’d want someone to have if it were my own, and making sure they never feel like they’re navigating it alone.

Before I say yes, I ask myself one question:

Can I say yes to this without compromising the standard I’ve set for my business?

If the answer is yes, I’m all in. If not, it’s an easy no.

I’d rather protect the trust I’ve earned than chase growth at the expense of it.

One of my favorite parts of being a business owner is that I get to spend my days helping people find better systems.

Whether it’s a bookkeeping workflow, payroll process, or apparently a neighborhood transportation solution, I’m always impressed by people (and chrildren) who look at a problem and find a creative way to solve it.

This one definitely wasn’t on my bingo card, but I have to admit the efficiency is impressive. 😂

Leaving the bank was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. Not because I loved my job. I didn’t. I was ready for something new.

What made it difficult was everything that job represented.

For nearly 15 years, my identity was wrapped up in climbing the corporate ladder. My goals were clear. Work hard. Earn the promotion. Take on more responsibility. Keep moving forward.

And the thing is, I was good at it.

I consistently exceeded my goals, earned promotions, and built a career I was proud of. I knew who I was in that world because so much of my identity was tied to what I could accomplish.

Walking away from it meant walking away from a version of myself I had spent years building.

At the same time, I felt God leading me in a different direction. The opportunity in front of me was exciting, but it was also terrifying. I knew exactly what I was leaving behind, but I had no idea what was waiting for me on the other side.

Looking back, I can see that God wasn’t just changing my career. He was changing me. He was teaching me that my identity was never supposed to be found in a title, a promotion, or a paycheck.

What felt like a career change was really an invitation to trust Him.

And I’d make the same choice again.

P.S. The pack of ci******es on the counter is killing me! 🤣 God has done a lot more than help me change careers. 🙏🏻😇

7 years later, one thing is clear: this business has given me far more than a career.

It has challenged me, stretched me, introduced me to incredible people, and created opportunities I never would have experienced otherwise.

To every client who trusted me with their business, referred a friend, sent an encouraging message, or supported ABS along the way, thank you.

I’m incredibly grateful to be here and excited for what’s next. 🤍

There’s just something so satisfying about taking messy books, mystery transactions, uncategorized chaos, and turning it into organized little rows and columns that actually make sense again.

Bookkeeping is honestly my love language at this point.
(Well that, and extra sauce - IYKYK)

I currently have ONE opening left for a May cleanup project + ongoing monthly bookkeeping maintenance for a new client.
