Going viral can be exciting—but it’s not a plan.

I’ve seen brands go viral and fumble the follow-up.

And I’ve seen “okay” content quietly pull in leads, signups, and partnerships for months.

REAL content strategy builds trust, not just traffic. It converts over time—not overnight.

Y'all, look where I reach 🥹

Coming off of Media InSite Caribbean 's forum "Power of Perception: Media Intelligence for Enhanced Engagement", I had the opportunity to do a bit of a deeper dive into content, digital marketing, and data on "In Depth" with D**e Rostant!

Your strategy is not guaranteed to work 🥲

I’m not saying that your social media strategy or digital marketing strategy sucks and will not be successful at all.

What I’m saying is that you have to understand that your strategy is essentially a THEORY based on your objectives, your audience and the platforms you intend to be on

Keep in mind that you’re marketing to real human beings! So, understanding that there will always be a margin of error with your strategy is critical when crafting it.

And, just like with scientific theory, you have to frequently TEST to see what works and doesn’t and REFINE your strategy to suit.

At the end of the day, digital marketing is a social science so we should adapt our approach to strategy with that in mind.

Side note: for someone who had basic grades in Integrated Science, I feel like I’m channeling Bill Nye 🤣
