Here is Part 2!

The best testimonials are ones that show a measurable goal has been reached and uses language that your potential clients can identify with.

If you have testimonials, but they are not measurable, then they aren’t as persuasive as they need to be in order to sell a future client. To get measurable testimonials, all you have to do is ask for them. If you receive a testimonial from a client that isn’t measurable and doesn’t show a specific example of how that client has improved since working with you, then thank the client for the kind comments and ask him to narrow down the success to one or two specific items that are improved due to your work together.

You can respond with something like:
“Thanks for your feedback. It’s wonderful to hear about your success. What specifically has improved during our work together? Were you able to measure the difference?”

The more measurable the testimonial, and the more the client speaks in his own words, the more persuasive it is to the potential client, and the easier it is to generate new business.

Review your client list and look back over recent projects. Ask your best clients for measurable testimonials. It’s a whole lot easier than making a cold call!

Are you planning on utilizing more customer testimonials for your business?

A Testimonial Can Grow Your Business!

So often we don’t utilize one of the most persuasive selling components in our marketing materials – the words of our own clients. Many creative people have wonderful testimonials from clients, but never use them for fear that they are “bragging” or that it is “too self-promotional.” Well of course it’s self-promotional! That’s what good marketing is!

When you have finished a project for a client, why not capture that moment in the client's own words to use for showing potential clients the value of your services? Testimonials are even more crucial for creative businesses because it is more difficult for the average person to set a value on most arts related items and services. Seeing others talk about the value of working with you will help them more readily understand the value of your work. If your client doesn’t come running to you with a testimonial, then ask her for one. There is nothing wrong with that and most clients are honored you asked them.

Stay tuned tomorrow for part 2 on the importance of getting testimonials!

Alright, let's hop into Tip #2! You ready?

You gotta exercise that muscle! 💪

Confidence is a muscle, and like any muscle, you need to exercise it so that it doesn’t shrink and waste away. The problem is that unlike your biceps or glutes, which tend to stay in the same place, your confidence muscle can be harder to find. How do you develop your biceps or firm up your glutes? By doing exercises that are designed to work that muscle over a period of time until you see the results you were looking for.

It’s just the same with confidence. Let’s say that you’re the kind of person that doesn’t take many risks, the kind of person who goes through each day doing what needs to be done and doing it well, but not really stretching yourself. You might talk yourself out of doing something because it’s too scary or because you think to yourself ‘I’m not good enough,’ ‘that’s not who I am’ or ‘I don’t really want it anyway.’ That kind of person lives within what they know and what keeps them safe and comfortable. The fewer risks they take, the less confident they need to be and so the less confident they become.

To work your confidence muscle you need to be prepared to take risks – big or small. You need to be willing to stretch yourself in an unfamiliar direction, to try something new or try something in a slightly different way. You need to open yourself up to the possibilities around you and push yourself to increase what you know, what you do, and who you are. The more open you are to risk, opportunity, and possibility the more confident you need to be, and so the more confidence you’ll develop. That’s your confidence muscle – the question is, what are you going to do to exercise it?"

Well, those are my two tips! Follow me for more and share with someone that may need this. Peaceeeee!

Inner confidence is key! Here is tip # 1 on how you can boost your inner confidence and slay like I know you can 😉

GET TO KNOW YOUR VALUES

Personal values are a big passion of mine and I often get carried away with myself when I talk about them. I make no apology for that though – they’re one of the most important things you can know about yourself and are vital in getting genuine inner confidence. Your values are ten thousand feet down inside you, right at the very core of who you are; and they’re the building blocks, the foundations and cornerstones for you. A value is something in yourself, in others or in the world that’s most important to you, and could include things like beliefs, progress, family, fun, nature, achievement or freedom.

Why is it that some people and situations leave you feeling angry, frustrated, demotivated or deflated? It’s because one or more of your values is being denied, suppressed or repressed – and we experience that as a negative experience because it’s denying a fundamental piece of who you are. You know those times when you’ve felt really alive, amazing or buzzing? Those are the times when one or more of your values are being honored, and you can get more of that by living according to them.

Your values are all yours, and no matter what happens, no one can ever take them away. You can have absolute confidence in them because they’re there all the time just waiting for you to notice and use them. When you get to know your values, you can start to make choices and align your life around them. It’s so simple and it feels amazing because all that really means is that you’re allowing who you are to live in the real world.

Here is the continuation from yesterday on how to get people behind your brand!

You also need to create a mission statement for your brand.

A mission statement is a short paragraph or line that says what your business is about,
what you do and why you do it.

✊This is your goal, your vision, and your commitment.

From here, you then have a more inspiring vision that you can use in order to inform your
other choices – such as your choice of logo and name.

Now your logo stands for something. And when that’s the case, people can stand behind
you!

Drop a ❤ if you like this!

How to create a brand that people want to get behind?

Let’s clarify this - brand doesn’t just mean a logo.

If you want to have a real brand that has fans, you need to know how to go about building
yourself an image and then gaining exposure for that image.

So if a brand isn’t just a logo, then what is it?
Well, one obvious thing that a brand also needs is a name.

Your company needs a name and in all likelihood, this name will also be your website
name. Having a brand like this for your website is one of the best things you can do right
away to start getting attention for your business.

✅Google for instance has said that brands are far more successful at search engine
optimization, while from a user’s perspective brands are also a lot more memorable and
professional sounding.

In other words, calling your website ‘FitLand’ will work better than
‘FitnessAndHealthArticles’.

You also need visual language. Once you’ve created your logo, you’ll also have to
choose some colors and maybe some images that will relate to your business and that will
form the basis of these logos.

Now you need to take those colors and shapes and work them into everything else you do.
If your logo is red, your website and your social media pages need red accents.

Stay tuned tomorrow for part 2!
