£250,000 invested into The VenueVerse before our MVP has even launched.

But this did not happen before the work.

Remember this photo?

Six months ago I was standing on stage at the LUinc Demo Day hoping I didn’t completely mess up my pitch.

Today I’m heading back.

Not as a founder pitching.

As a judge.

What a full-circle moment.

Since that day I’ve pitched on multiple stages, spoken to hundreds of people, and progressed to the next stage with a VC as we continue building The Venue Verse.

One investor recently told me:

“You’re one of the best founders I’ve spoken to.”

Which feels surreal when I think back to how nervous I was standing on that stage.

So to Cohort 10:

Show your passion.
Tell your story.
Enjoy every second.

The room is full of people who want you to succeed.

And remember…

One pitch really can change everything.

I have three businesses.

I visit heritage buildings for fun.

I train martial arts.

I shoot arrows.

I raise three kids.

I’m someone’s wife.

On any given day I could be pitching investors, auditing a venue, sparring, or standing in a 400-year-old hallway taking it all in.

Another heritage venue probably won’t solve all my problems.

But I should probably go and have a look.

I’ve had an obsession with historic buildings for as long as I can remember.

Castles.
Stately homes.
Country houses.
Old places with stories.

And somehow my work means I get to visit places like:

And every single one has a story.

Five years of The Venue Experts has meant visiting some of the most beautiful venues in the country.

Safe to say the venue obsession isn’t going anywhere.
