Cold season is fast approaching. I usually complain about the chilly weather that causes my clogged, and runny nose, or brings me cold or if worse, pneumonia. Ironically, I will forever cherish the season of fall in Kyushu, Japan. The impressive scenery will never be here without the winter season drawing near.
During this season, days start to get shorter and the sunlight is getting lesser. These give signals to the leaf to prepare for winter and to stop making chlorophyll. When this happens, leaves turn their green color to yellow or orange, or bright red. Consequently, these colors become prevalent sight during the season of fall.
So while the weather is still tolerable, grab your sweater, go outdoors to experience and enjoy the beauty of once-in-a-year orange shades of AUTUMN.🍁🍂

I live in the city of Miyama on Kyushu Island of Japan. There is this small city called Yanagawa, 17.5 km west of my location. This city of Yanagawa is known for its authentic dish called "Unagi Seiro Mushi" which means steamed eel rice that I'm CRAZY about. If you haven't tried this one, then you should.
It's a set meal best served with clear soup, vinegared cucumber salad, and some pickled radish. The clear soup contains eel liver (surprisingly not fishy but has a clean aftertaste) that will stimulate your appetite to prepare your tummy for the main meal. The box you can see contains the main dish. Inside is some noodle-sliced egg on a lineup of some slices of grilled eel topping the rice soaked with special unagi sauce. The glory of this meal is not only the grilled eel itself but the special sticky-fluffy-flavorful rice that covered the bottom of this magic box.
Here in Japan, cultured freshwater eel is believed to be a stamina booster.
So, how about treating yourself with a taste of this Unagi Seiro Mushi awesomeness?

When you wake up early in the morning, look outside your window. You see the sun shining on a sunny day. Or you see the clouds on a cloudy day. Or maybe you see the rain falling on a rainy day. What is the first thing that comes to your mind? No matter what the weather is, BE THANKFUL. It means a new day to be hopeful for blessings from above. And whatever your dreams, hopes, and wishes are, NEVER GIVE UP!!! Remember, EVERY DAY IS A BRAND NEW DAY!

In Japan, say Konnichiwa to greet people between late morning (11am) and early evening (5pm). It's a formal kind of 'hello!'. So you wouldn't say Konnichiwa with your friends and best mates.
