🚨💔 INJURY CONCERN FOR KAIZER CHIEFS! LUKE BAARTMAN LIMPS OFF! 🟡⚫️

Kaizer Chiefs could be sweating over the fitness of Luke Baartman after the young attacker was forced off while representing South Africa U23 against Algeria. 🇿🇦

Baartman has been an important part of the Amakhosi squad this season, featuring in all seven league matches so far. His potential absence would therefore be a blow for Chiefs as they prepare to return to Betway Premiership action. 👀

😳💔 HOW KAIZER CHIEFS MISSED OUT ON EMILE WITBOOI — VELA

Kaizer Chiefs had an opportunity to bring Emile Witbooi into their system at a very young age, but the talented youngster eventually moved on. 🇿🇦🔥

Vela has now revealed how Chiefs initially assessed Witbooi and later wanted another look at him — only to discover that the opportunity had already passed.

🗣️ Vela explained:

«“Emile was once with us. I remember he came for assessment, but he was very, very young. Later on, I asked Walter Steenbok, who was the Technical Director at the time, I said, ‘Man, we need to bring this boy back again,’ and he said, ‘No, you guys didn’t take him, so he’s gone now.’ I took it with a bit of a pinch of salt.”»

💔 One of South Africa’s exciting young talents was once inside the Chiefs setup, but the move never materialised.

Now, looking back, it raises an interesting question: What could have happened if Chiefs had brought Witbooi back and secured his development at Naturena? 🤯🟡⚫️

🚨🟡⚫️ KELETSO MAKGALWA OPENS UP ON KAIZER CHIEFS MOVE!

Keletso Makgalwa has opened up about why his proposed move to Kaizer Chiefs did not materialise, revealing that Amakhosi were among the clubs interested in signing him before he eventually joined Simba SC in Tanzania.

The 29-year-old says the Chiefs offer was good, but the timing of the approach and his desire to experience football outside South Africa influenced his decision.

🗣️ Makgalwa told FARPost:

«“It was a good offer from them, but I wanted to play elsewhere outside South Africa. That’s why I chose Simba SC. I didn’t really decline the offer. They came late, to be honest.”»

He explained that he had spoken with his agent Ntobatsi Masegela and Kaizer Motaung Jr. while Chiefs were still finalising their squad, before Simba’s opportunity arrived.

But the door to Naturena may not be closed forever. Makgalwa admitted that playing for Chiefs remains a childhood dream.

🗣️ “It is still a dream for me because, as a young boy from Mokopane, it was one of my dreams to play for Kaizer Chiefs. So I think if that move comes, I will take it.”

For now, his focus remains on Simba SC, where he wants to help the club challenge for the league title and compete in the CAF Champions League. 🇹🇿🏆

👀 Amakhosi fans — could we see Keletso Makgalwa in the Gold & Black one day?
