🛡New cars aren’t perfect. Here’s why you don’t want to pay for dealer add-on coatings;
This brand new i30N hatch came to Venti SYD to install graphene protection on all painted surfaces and coat interior leather. When the car is built and painted, it is still very possible to have paint defects occur between the factory and the dealership. Most cars are wrapped in plastic, which is then removed, cars wiped down from dust with dry cloths, bows put on bonnets to take a nice picture when you take delivery of your vehicle - all actions with good intentions, but with some unfortunate results. If you think because the car is new, the paint is perfect, change this perspective.
This isn’t an issue isolated to particular brands - there are new Porsche GT3RS being delievered with factory sanding marks on the corners of panels. It takes a keen eye and a fastidious detailer to rectify this, looking for every possible small defect before installing a paint protection coating.
Dealerships often charge exoborbitant amounts of money to add on a “lifetime” protection to vehicle paint, that often does not last because of poor preparation, due to the mindset that “if the car is new, the paint is perfect”. At Venti SYD, every car is polished before installing a coating. 30 mins from the dealership or 30 years, no matter what the age of the car it will need to be paint corrected and enhanced prior to any install. If you have a detailer that says otherwise, show them these photos. Swipe >>>
