🎁 DE-INFLUENCING THE HOLIDAYS: This your friendly reminder that you never need to buy anything during the holidays -- or ever -- to be worthy and whole. My family and I aren't exchanging gifts this year, so I chose to wrap some of the "everyday" items that I casually bought during the lead up to Christmas. Not only does this give me something to open on Christmas Day, it reminds me to appreciate the "little things" even more and not take them for granted.
🎁 The point is that it's okay to not have presents during the holidays. For some, it's a personal choice to be more mindful of consumerism. For others, it's a temporary necessity due to job loss or difficult economic times. So I'm posting this message as an economically-sensitive alternative to the "What I got for Christmas" videos that are going to be uploaded soon, where people show off all the gifts they received. Not everyone will be receiving tons of presents, and let's normalize that, too. ❤️
Merry Christmas!
