A 41-acre lake in Mysuru, restored in just 40 days. 🌿

The restoration work was completed last summer, clearing the lake and preparing it to receive water again. The delayed rainfall meant the lake hasn’t filled as expected yet, but with the rains picking up, it’s ready for its revival.

The lake also has an inlet from the Kabini River, which will bring in more water once the river fills up.

The work is done. Now, nature gets to bring this lake back to life. 💧🌱

Built by the Mysore Maharaja, this lake carries a piece of history. But years of neglect left it unused and forgotten.

Today, the lake has been restored and is being monitored even after the cleanup, because restoring a waterbody doesn’t end when the work is done. 💧🌱

Once the rains fill it up, this historic lake can come alive again.

And if you’re wondering when you can visit, don’t come to pollute it. Come with us, and maybe one day, we’ll go boating here together. 🚣‍♂️💚
