Cal Poly's Ruminant Research Lab The Ruminant Nutrition Lab is a research lab in the department of Dairy Science at Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo. The lab is lead by Dr. Gustavo Lascano.

The research team is composed of a graduate student and undergraduate students involved in Animal or Dairy Science. Research projects include: Profit in Practice: Understanding the Importance of Human Resource Management in California Dairy Farms, and Improving the efficiency of nitrogen utilization in growing precision fed dairy heifers by altered rumen protein degradability.
