The Professional Development Committee (PDC) was pleased to co-organize the UNITAR–IHEID 2026 Interactive Professional Workshop in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

Bringing together students and practitioners under the theme “Global Governance & Multilateral Diplomacy in Practice,” the workshop provided a unique platform to connect academic learning with real-world application. Through expert-led sessions and an interactive policy simulation, participants engaged directly with the realities of policymaking, diplomacy, and multilateral cooperation.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished speakers, Alexander A. Mejia, Gustavo Ghory and Professor Claudia Seymour for their insightful contributions. We also thank the UNITAR team for their excellent collaboration and support.

The strong engagement and positive feedback from participants highlight the value of creating spaces that foster dialogue between students and multilateral practitioners.

We look forward to continuing such initiatives and strengthening collaboration across institutions.

🌍 PDC–UNITAR Interactive Professional Workshop 2026

The Professional Development Committee, in collaboration with UNITAR, is pleased to invite IHEID students to the UNITAR–PDC 2026 Interactive Professional Workshop under the theme:

Global Governance & Multilateral Diplomacy in Practice

📅 Date: 1 April 2026
🕐 Time: 13:00 – 17:30
📍 Venue: UNITAR Office, Geneva

This practitioner-led workshop offers a unique opportunity for students to gain applied insights into development practice, multilateral diplomacy, and international cooperation directly from experts working within the international system.

The workshop will also feature an interactive policy simulation, allowing students to engage with the complexities of decision-making within multilateral institutions.
