Sometimes, the most effective solution is simply to dig them out and remove them.

NOT EVERY HORNET NEST NEEDS TO BE TREATED. 👀

Where possible, we prefer to leave European hornets alone. They’re predators of other insects and have a valuable role within the ecosystem.

But sometimes, location changes the decision.

This colony had decided to make its home just a little too close to a children’s play area, meaning leaving the nest in place wasn’t the appropriate option.

Pest and wildlife management isn’t about treating everything we find. It’s about assessing each situation individually and balancing safety, necessity and the wider environment.

If it can safely be left alone, that will always be considered. 🐝
