A non-profit arts service organization providing subsidized consulting supports to artists and organizations in Nova Scotia 🇨🇦 Inquiries welcome.

Strategic Arts Management (SAM) will provide mentorship, management, administration, and other resources to artists and arts organizations at affordable, subsidized rates through a network of high-quality service providers. SAM Services are offered in operations, financial and crisis management, board governance, strategic and career planning, and more. SAM Clients include creators, producers, presenters, festivals, foundations, trusts, and service organizations.

September 30th is National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. We recognize the harmful legacy of Residential Schools and honour the survivors and children who never came home. The forced removal of indigenous children from their families and communities continue to impact indigenous peoples.

Today, we encourage you to learn more about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 calls to action and to ensure this part of our history is never forgotten. Reconciliation requires work and is an ongoing practice of listening to and engaging with indigenous-led initiatives.

📣 We’re hiring! Strategic Arts Management (SAM) is looking for an Administrator to join our team in Halifax.

This is a permanent contract position, 35 hours per week, at $22/hour. The Administrator will support SAM’s day-to-day operations and work across office management, communications, research, development, sponsorship, database management, and organizational planning.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and interested in the arts. Experience with websites and social media is an asset, and French-language skills are also an asset.
