Stepped outside and had to say it… today is exactly why we live in Lakewood Ranch.
It’s a perfect 75°, lightly overcast, with that gentle breeze that makes the whole place feel calm and peaceful. Absolute chef’s kiss Florida weather.
If you’re not outside enjoying this right now, you’re missing out. 🌴

❤️ Love seeing this kind of impact right here in Bradenton.

NBA legend Alonzo Mourning didn’t come here to sell houses — he came to build hope.
His nonprofit teamed up to bring a $37.4 million affordable 120-unit senior community, Astoria on 9th, to life for residents 55+ in our area.

Rents start as low as $322 a month for those who qualify, giving seniors in Bradenton a chance at safe, beautiful, dignified housing when they need it most.

This place isn’t just four walls — it has:
• a cyber-café,
• a fitness center,
• a clubhouse,
• and even a dog park.
All designed to support seniors with community, comfort, and independence.

In a world where affordable housing feels harder and harder to find, this is the kind of news that reminds you: good people are still out there building good things.

Proud of Bradenton. Proud of this project. And huge respect to Alonzo Mourning and everyone who helped make this happen.

From NBA Legend to Housing Hero: Alonzo Mourning Opens $37M Senior Complex

Rents from $322?! Alonzo Mourning just cut the ribbon on Astoria on 9th, a 120-unit affordable senior living complex in Bradenton.

His nonprofit teamed up with Housing Trust Group to create a 5-story haven for 55+ residents earning up to 60% of the area median income.

A cyber-café, gym, and dog park included — because, as Mourning says, “These are not just apartments. They’re homes.”

🎄✨ Holiday magic is officially here in Lakewood Ranch! ✨🎄

If you haven’t seen the Christmas trees at Main Street and Waterside Place yet, you’re missing out — both are absolutely stunning this year. Each one has its own vibe, its own charm, and they’re both must-see stops for anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit.

Whether you’re out for dinner, walking the lakefront, or just enjoying the Florida sunshine, make sure to swing by and check them out.
