Everyone is talking about how much weight people are losing on GLP-1s.
But there’s another conversation we need to be having:
How much muscle are you keeping?
Because the goal shouldn’t simply be to become a smaller version of yourself.
Especially as we get older, preserving muscle matters for strength, function, metabolism, bone health and staying capable as we age.
So if you’re using a GLP-1 under medical supervision, don’t make the scale your only measure of success.
Prioritize protein.
Strength train consistently.
Keep moving.
Recover properly.
And pay attention to your body composition, not just your body weight.
GLP-1s can be an incredibly useful tool for the right person.
But weight loss and fat loss are not the same thing.
The goal isn’t just to weigh less.
It’s to lose the fat while preserving as much hard-earned muscle as possible.
That’s a much better definition of success.
If you’re a man 40+ using GLP-1s or peptides and you want to make sure you’re ALSO doing the right things to build and preserve muscle, get stronger, look confident and age like a capable man, not simply become a smaller version of yourself, reach out.
