On 25/11/2023 at 08H53, we received a call that a suspect has stolen cables in Raslouw area. We responded to the scene where we found 1 x BM with network cables and 1 x truck fuse box.
The suspect was detained, and SAPS was arranged.

Counterpoint Risk Tactical Team mobilized after a call was received for alleged cable theft on Edendale Road.

Unit searched the surrounding area and found the two described suspects walking with the trolley full of cables up the main road.

Both suspects fled the scene, and Counterpoint Tactical members chased the suspects.

1 suspect caught and handed over to SAPS for further investigation

On the 23/11/2023 we received a call from the Wierdapark, Centurion community that a WM pulled a knife on a community member, after the community member confronted the WM about throwing out the bins. We responded to the area where the WM was last seen.

He was found walking close to a primary school. We stopped and approached him, and he agreed on being searched.

We found 1 x knife 1 x Mercedes Benz key and 1 x BMW key in his possession. The WM was detained by Counterpoint, and Saps was contacted. Saps arrived in the scene where they arrested the WM and proceeded to the station.

On 18/11/2023 at approximately 12:25, when two of our team members were on patrol in Eikenhof, they spotted a guy trying to remove a pole next to the road. They approached him and were suspicious of his behavior. With his permission, he was searched, and numerous suspicious equipment was found in his possession. SAPS, together with Eikenhof CPF members, were contacted. On their arrival, the suspect was detained, and the equipment confiscated.

On Tuesday 14/11/2023, a lady was kidnapped, beaten badly and driven around for a number of hours before blacking out and then dumped in the bushes outside of the Edenvale hospital before someone found her and assisted her back home to Edenvale.

On Wednesday 15/11/2023 our tactical unit responded to an urgent call for assistance from one of our fellow residents.

Our units mobilized members from our Edenvale CPF as well as Edenvale SAPS, who assisted our tactical unit with the case.
The lady was then transported to the hospital, and further investigation was underway.

This afternoon, our Counterpoint Risk Tactical Team assisted Edenvale SAPS and Gauteng Crime Prevention Wardens at a roadblock yealding multiple successes.

1 Suspect arrested for possession of unlicensed illegal ammunition.

2 suspects attempted to flee on foot for unknown reasons, leading to a chase involving the 2 fleeing suspects and 2 of our Counterpoint Tactical members. Suspects were chased through the river under the road of Malaguetta and eventually found laying in the river in Horwoods farm.

Both suspects were apprehended by Counterpoint Risk Tactical Members and handed over to SAPS for further investigation.

On the 22/10/2023 at 08H28, we received a report of a dog that was running on the N1 direction south before Samrand turn off in the middle of the highway. We responded swiftly to the area where the dog was last seen.
We spotted the dog on the side of the speed lane, laying on the road.he dog was exhausted. When the dog spotted us, he tried to make a run for it. However, we managed to secure the dog. On inspection of the dog, it was found that he had an open wound on the left leg.
The dog has been taken to Bakenkop Vet, where the dog will be treated and inspected, and they will try and come in contact with animal shelters to rehome the dog.

On the 19/10/2023 CounterPoint Risk joint ALFECO Foundation in supporting the Primary School in Madikwe.
Our goal was to teach children about different K9 breed and to teach them of the work that the dogs are used for. Our focus was to change the false perspective that children are being raised with. Due to the past of South Africa, we, as CPR, feel we need to show children that dogs are not there to hurt them but to protect them.
