Ever wondered how a plastic bottle is made?
Blow moulding is a manufacturing process used to create hollow plastic products such as bottles, containers and jerry cans.
Simply put: plastic is heated, placed into a mould, and then air is blown into it — pushing the plastic against the inside of the mould to create its shape.
Once cooled, the mould opens and the finished container is ready.
From everyday bottles to specialised packaging, blow moulding allows manufacturers to create different shapes, sizes and designs.
