Today 15 October 2026, in Mr Louis Pienaar, Executive Director, Engineering Service and Mr Sifiso Nkonyane, Engineer Water and Waste water service as key messengers of the Drakenstein municipality, also provided very important information and motivated community members to safe water. They also have key information about the status of Dams in Drakenstein municipality and where the municipality is getting its water from. 🧹 LOVE YOUR STREET | BEAUFORT WEST TAKES THE BATON!

Beaufort West Municipality is leading from the front on Day 2 of the Love Your Street Campaign, with Acting Municipal Manager Mr. Frans Sabbat out on the streets alongside his teams.

Building on the momentum of yesterday’s GCIS-led activation, the municipality is putting community care into action, helping create cleaner, safer and more welcoming public spaces.

Every cleared pathway and cared-for space contributes towards a community where women, children and all residents can move with greater confidence.

Keeping Beaufort West clean is a shared responsibility. We encourage residents to take pride in their surroundings, dispose of waste responsibly and help sustain the work being done.

The Beaufort West Municipality Electrical Department has also been out and about to ensure we look at street light and tree damage to infrastructure in the community.

Together, we can make a difference—one street at a time!
