Alacrity Africa Projects is off to another adventure — this time in Morocco 🇲🇦
As we prepare for the next event, I’ve been reflecting on control versus trust.
A few insights that feel especially present right now:
🌱 Event managers need control to a point, but trust, connection, and relationships matter more.
🌱 When relationships lead instead of the need for control, community forms. And what are events, if not intentional gatherings of community?
🌱 Uncertainty is guaranteed. How we respond is where the magic happens. Anxiety-led reactions can fracture relationships. Pausing, identifying what truly matters, acting clearly on what is within your control, and letting the rest go, changes everything.
🌱 Boundaries contain trust. They can be flexible when needed to preserve it. Fear, on the other hand, enforces control through rigid barriers that block growth.
🌱 Human beings create events, not timelines or payment schedules. See the person first, and the operations tend to follow when trust is established.
🌱 Don’t compromise on trust. If something feels off, it usually is.
Onward ✅ with curiosity, courage, and care.
