Anton demonstrates how an older generator can be integrated with a SigenStor system so that it automatically starts and stops according to battery State of Charge (SOC) during a grid outage.
When the grid goes down and the batteries reach a predetermined SOC, the system can call the generator to start, allowing it to support the site and recharge the batteries. Once the batteries recover to the required level, the generator can automatically shut down again.
It’s a practical way of bringing older generator infrastructure into a modern solar and battery installation—without necessarily having to replace a perfectly serviceable generator simply because it lacks a smart controller.
Smart integration means making the existing equipment work better together.
