Beware Cracks

Window Frames & Door Frames

One of the best ways to repair window seals that allow penetrating damp to show on the interior walls plaster is the pap and lap method.

Scrape away damaged seal against the reveal and fill all holes with a strong plaster mix. Then apply a layer of acrylic sealer and embed a membrane into the sealer then apply another 2 x coats of sealer. This will last much longer than the normal silicone seal.

Black Mould

Salts

As the water goes though the walls it collects minerals from the sand, cement and bricks which turn into a white powder (salts).
