When the going gets tough the tough cooks. Treating the family to a Saturday morning after Chantel Botha car was broken into during the early morning hours. Today’s menu a trio of earth, pastures and ocean: Poached egg served on a bed of grilled king oyster mushroom and dressed with black truffle oil and italian truffle zest. The ocean is provided in the form of a lemon and dill cured salmon gravlax served with lemon and garden salad.

A trio of organic freerange ostrich and eland fillet and pork rib-eye steak, served on a oven baked potato and cream puree served with a side of roasted autumn seasonal beetroot, baby parsnip, multi colored baby carrot, red onion and spring onion as veggies. Dressed with a Barbera red wine jus and red beetroot juice reduction infused with allspice and juniper berry. Topped with a arugula and daikon micro greens salad. By chef Johan Botha
