Who is SBN and where did it all start?

The Small Business Networking Group Benoni ​(SBN) was established by Bill Anderson and his sister Adele on 18 March 2015​ (11 years ago). Their first meeting was held at a café in Northmead with 2​ potential members​ and within a short time​ the group quickly grew to 9 members. The number​s ​continued to grow steadily over the next few years​ and eventually​ a branch​ was started in Springs. ​Following that, ​they opened a branch in Bedford​view and then Kempton Park.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID lockdown​, all outlying branches closed, but Benoni reopened as soon as ​they​ could​. ​The group ​has ​since moved around​ ​and met in various ​venues. We currently meet at the Bohemia Restaurant​ every second Thursday from 8-9am.

For the first number of years​ of existence ​Bill undertook the role of Chairperson, steering and growing the group successfully, until ​our current Chairperson, Mark Staley, took over​ with the intention of continuing the group's growth and efficient operation.

Being a part of SBN is an​ engaging and enlightening experience ​where many members have the opportunity to learn from ​each other. ​It is a wonderful way to attract new clients, share experiences, knowledge and support other small businesses.
