That time again! Christmas....a time for good food, good company, sometimes joyous reunions of family and friends. Its also a time that causes a lot of stress in January when budgets have been broken and once the festivities have passed, bills to be paid. Don't forget the essentials....school fees still have to paid, lights and water etc. Some people are lucky to get 13th cheques ...save whatever possible.

Ask yourself the following questions before entering into any credit agreement:
⟡ What is the total credit that I can afford? ⟡ What is the difference between the cash price and the total credit price? ⟡ How long will it take to pay the credit off? ⟡ How much interest will I pay? ⟡ Do I know how to calculate the exact amount of interest I will be paying? ⟡ Do I understand the result of a change in the rate of interest? ⟡ Will I be able to afford to make the payments if the rate of interest increases?

We did a quick survey of a statistical survey of consumers in debt that had to be submitted to the NCR and guess who topped by a large margin. ...women! Is it the shopping spree's? or the increasing family responsibility?
