SARS tax season is expected to open in July 2026.

Key deadlines to remember:
✔ Individual taxpayers: 23 October 2026
✔ Provisional taxpayers & trusts: 22 January 2027
✔ Companies: Within 12 months after financial year-end

Important changes for 2026:
⚠️ SARS is moving towards digital-only filing via eFiling & the SARS MobiApp
⚠️ Employers must include valid tax numbers for employees on EMP501 submissions
⚠️ Expanded auto-assessments may apply to more taxpayers
