⚠️ SCAM ALERT: Fake "UIF Notice" doing the rounds

Businesses are receiving an official-looking "Urgent: Outstanding UIF Payment" letter asking them to pay a small amount (R450) into a bank account within 5 working days, or face fines, interest and a "compliance block".

It is a scam. Please don't pay it.

How to spot it:
1️⃣ Pressure to pay fast, with threats of penalties
2️⃣ A bank account to pay into. UIF contributions are paid through SARS (EMP201) or uFiling, not into an account given in a letter or email
3️⃣ A vague "system update" with no reference to your actual returns, months or employees
4️⃣ A small amount, so you'll pay without asking questions

Not sure if a notice is real? Log in to eFiling or uFiling yourself (never through a link in the message), or send it to us and we'll check it for you before you pay a cent.
