Armed House Robbery in Ruwari. 27 June 2026

Suspects gained access to a house in Reservoir street at about 04:07am on Saturday Morning.
The suspects broke-in cutting the electric Fence then went over the wall to gaining access through a window with no burglar bars.

The suspects showed the victim a sharp object after they asked for her belongings phone, wallet
Car keys her wedding ring ect.

The suspect also told her to open her bank app on her phone and took her outside and told her to drive them with her car to the nearest ATM.
Then they exited main gate with the owners keys they pushed the lady back into the house and locked her inside.
The lady waited to hear if they are gone so she can shout for help.

At only 09:15am our clients heard the neigbour shouting for help and phoned the CMAX Control Centre to report they needed assistance.

CMAX officer Puma was dispatched and stood off at the scene in less than 2min. (09:17am)
Both our officer and the neighbour assisted by using a bolt cutter to get to the victim locked inside her house.

SAPS arrived at 09:39am.

a vehicle overturned in high speed the driver lost control went off road through a wall.

MVA Corner Bottelary road and La Bella rd

On arrival the CMAX response team found driving o a car was on it’s side.

The CMAX control Centre contact all Emergency services.

The response Officer made contact with the drivers luckily no injuries was reported.

Traffic took over the scene.

MVA - Corner of Kruis and Protea Road, opposite Engen Garage and KFC , white hilux bakkie drove into silver Hyundai i20.

Driver of Silver Hyundai deceased on scene.

Rescue team managed to get the driver out of the bakkie and into the ambulance.

Fire brigade, Odendal tow truck,Western Cape Metro EMS on scene.

We send our Condolences to the family of the deceased.

Just pass shell garage our response vehicle found the Ford fiesta on fire.
No injuries was reported

Brackenfell fire department assisted on scene.
Law enforcement was contacted and was on scene.

Saps Kraaifontein was informed but had no vehicles available at that moment.
