Irri-Gator Products is Hiring: Electrical Panel Builder – North

Irri-Gator Products is looking for a young, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Electrical Panel Builder to join our production team in the North.

The successful candidate will assist with the assembly, wiring, testing, and quality control of irrigation automation and control systems, working with components such as circuit breakers, PLCs, relays, transformers, sensors, controllers, and communication devices.

The role requires someone with a good technical background, attention to detail, practical hands-on ability, and the willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Minimum requirements:
Matric / Grade 12
1–2 years’ experience as a panel builder
Ability to read electrical schematics and panel layouts
Experience with VSDs, soft starters, PLCs, networking, instruments, hydraulic valves, and controls will be advantageous.

Irri-Gator Products is extremely grateful for the opportunity to exhibit our products and expertise at the Berries ZA Annual Technical & Trade Symposium, held at Kronenburg in Paarl on 28 and 29 May 2026.

From the insightful presentations and influential industry experts, to the encouraging and educational discussions taking place throughout the event, the symposium has been exceptionally well received. It has also been great to engage with so many visitors asking product-related questions and showing interest in practical automation solutions for the agricultural sector.

Irri-Gator Products offers a wide range of agricultural automation equipment and solutions, with direct applications in the berry industry. These include fertigation options, climate control automation systems, irrigation automation, and various other irrigation equipment solutions. Currently on display is a 4-Channel Ferti-Gator Multi along with our iGator software running a few Receivers from our G5 LoRa Radio.

Martin, John, and Schalk, who have been manning the stand, are always happy to share their expertise and practical industry knowledge with growers, suppliers, and industry partners.

We’re Hiring: Field Service Technician – Pretoria / Northern Region
Irri-Gator Products is looking for a young, enthusiastic and self-motivated Field Service Technician to join our team, operating from our Pretoria-based offices.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys working with irrigation technology, water system automation, control panels, VSDs, soft starters, PLCs, instrumentation and on-site customer support.
The successful candidate will be involved in field service work, fault finding, installation, setup, testing and commissioning of automation and motor control systems, with travel required across the region and into Sub-Saharan Africa.

Minimum requirements include:
• Matric / Grade 12
• Electrical, millwright, electromechanical, mechatronics or electronics qualification
• Valid driver’s licence
• Strong computer literacy
• Minimum 2 years’ technical field experience preferred
• Valid passport and willingness to travel

We’re Hiring: Production Supervisor – Pretoria / Northern Region

Irri-Gator Products is looking for a young, enthusiastic and self-motivated Production Supervisor to join our team, operating from our Pretoria-based offices.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who can lead and oversee a production team responsible for assembling irrigation automation and control systems.

The successful candidate will be involved in supervising production staff, planning and scheduling production activities, overseeing assembly processes, ensuring quality control, managing materials, supporting equipment maintenance, enforcing health and safety standards, and maintaining accurate production records.

Minimum requirements include:
• Matric / Grade 12
• Electrical, millwright or electromechanical trade qualification
• Valid driver’s licence
• Strong computer literacy
• 2–5 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor
• Experience with VSDs, soft starters, programmable logic relays, PC networking, instruments, hydraulic valves and hydraulic controls will be advantageous
