Your Role Will Include, but not limited to:
• System Installation & Maintenance: Install, service, and maintain fire detection systems according to current safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and protocols to reduce risk and uphold site safety.
• Project Coordination: Plan and coordinate tasks, resources, and timelines to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Site Assessments & Client Liaison: Conduct thorough site inspections, assess risks, and work closely with clients to tailor solutions to their specific needs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, complete necessary documentation, and assist with compliance reporting.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
• SAQCC Certification – This is a mandatory requirement.
• Industry Experience – Proven experience working with fire detection systems in a similar role.
• Clear Criminal Record – In line with company and industry standards.
• Valid Driver’s License – Essential for travel to client sites.

Vstorm Solutions (Pty) Ltd is committed to redefining the standards in electronic security—through smart design, expert installation, and reliable service. We’re currently looking for a skilled and experienced Fire Detection and Security Technician to become a key part of our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Fire & Security Systems Expertise: Install, service, and maintain fire detection, CCTV, access control, and related electronic security systems.
• Compliance & Registration: Be registered with SAQCC as a Fire Installer and ensure all work aligns with applicable regulations and safety standards.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure professional service delivery and technical support.
• Travel: Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to project sites as needed.
• Availability: Be available to work full-time, with flexibility for overtime when required to meet project deadlines.
• Integrity & Safety: Maintain a clean criminal record and adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.

Minimum Requirements:
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in the fire and security systems industry.
• SAQCC registration as a Fire Detection Installer (please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement).
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Professional, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Fire Detection Installer (Cape Town, Western Cape) – Join Our Team

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Fire Detection Installation Technician to join our growing team. This is an important role where your expertise will help protect lives and property by ensuring fire detection systems are correctly installed, maintained, and fully operational across various commercial and industrial environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Installation of fire detection systems.
• Troubleshooting and repairing system faults or performing necessary upgrades.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Ensuring all work complies with fire safety codes, standards, and regulations.
• Keeping clear and accurate records of all installations
• Communicating clearly and professionally with clients, contractors, and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For:
• Hands-on experience in fire detection system installation.
• Certification or formal training in fire safety systems, including SANS 10139 & SAQCC Fire.
• Solid understanding of fire and safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to read technical documents and wiring diagrams.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in tight spaces or at heights.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (advantageous).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and good communication skills.

Bonus Points For:
• SAQCC registration.
• Experience working with multiple fire detection systems and manufacturers.
• Basic knowledge of electrical or electronic systems.
• Experience in CCTV, Access Control and Electric Fence Installation and understanding
