Priscilla Letwaba is an entrepreneur and brand ambassador of Inuka luxury cosmetic and fragranced products. She prides herself in her business and helping others obtain financial independence. As part of our sponsor and partner profile series, we sat down with Priscilla for a quick chat and to get to know her better.
“Our intention is to groom other women into believing that they can achieve great heights through entrepreneurship, that they don’t have to wait to be hired - but they themselves can create job opportunities for others. Again, to give superior and high customer service.”
1. Who are the women that made you?
I believe in myself - I am my biggest cheerleader. I believe that I was born for greatness and nothing or no one can take that gift away from me. I know, as women, we shy away from affirming ourselves and saying proudly that we are self-made. And I believe that about myself, I am self-made.
2. Who is Priscilla, the woman behind Inuka by Princess P?
I’m the only daughter to my parents, with three brothers – I’m the princess of the family. I’m God fearing, a wife and mother. I love people yet I’m a bit reserved. When I love or do anything that I love, I give it my all.
3. Why did you choose to partner with IAM HER to help deliver the conference?
I choose to partner with IAM HER because it’s a local brand and in so many ways, being part of the IAM HER community helped to groom me into the woman I am today.
4. What do you believe makes your business what it is today?
God is at the core of it all and I believe my customer service makes me different and valued by the people who support me.
5. What brings you joy in your business?
My customers. I’ve met a lot of incredible people throughout my journey, and nothing warms my heart like getting messages of appreciation from my customers, it shows that I’m still on the right track and should continue with what I do. I love my customers. ☺️
6. The moment you…
- Realised you need to heed the call of being an entrepreneur?
I realised in 2019 that I really must honour the call of being an entrepreneur. When one has a dream that keeps them awake day and night – that’s when you know your destiny is calling and you must honour that call.
- Rose up and defied the odds…
In 2020 and 2021, God opened doors during COVID, he made a way for me. After so many years of trying, my breakthrough came during a global crisis and that’s when I knew that God could provide and in any circumstances.
In business, you won’t always be in a honeymoon phase - you must make prayer your no number. Habit. When things didn’t go my way in 2018, I was reminded that my dream is still valid and that with patience, rocky waters will pass.
Giving up is not an option - my daughter cannot have a mom that quits easily. I am a fighter and always remind myself that God knew me before I was formed in my mother’s womb. He says in the book of Jeremiah, “call unto me, I will show you great and mighty things”, so who am to look down on myself - I am enough and I’m walking in power.
