He quit his job and turned an abandoned island into a living paradise. 🏝️ In 1962, British newspaper editor Brendon Grimshaw bought Moyenne Island in the Seychelles for eight thousand pounds. It was neglected and almost forgotten, yet he saw a future there. With his friend René Antoine Lafortune, he planted over 16,000 trees, mostly by hand.

Giant tortoises came back, and now over one hundred roam freely. 🐢 Birds returned too. Developers offered millions, but he refused to sell. Before he died in 2012, the island became a national park. Today it is the smallest national park in the world. One person's patience can heal an entire ecosystem. 🌳 What could you grow in fifty years?
